Update

Ok, I am updating. I have been trying to do a lot of stitching, but I am also geocaching. Another new hobby is that I am now bird watching. We have a lot of feeders and I can recognize a few few birds, LOL. Mainly the nuthatches, juncos, woodpeckers, and cardinals.

Stitching will be that I will try to make my first biscournu. I have not made one yet. Also, I might do a few needle tatting projects.

Has it been over a year since I had use this blog? Wow! Well anyway, I have five 2009 stitching goals: Governor's Palace-Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Sampler, Two Soldiers (those are given to me by my older sister for Christmas. The designs are by Posy Collection.), Light of the World (my dbf gave that one to me for my birthday.), and Brooke's Books birthday cakes that I am putting on one fabric. Busy stitching year, and the good news for me is that they are for me. I rarely stitch for me, just other people.

Updating

I am now working on a Christmas gift for my dbf's mother. It will be intials in butterflies and flowers. I am finishing up the J for jonquil. Backstitching and french knots (ugh!). One color down, two to go. Next will be E. I have no idea what the e flower is, LOL. The book is Butterfly garden Alphabet by Carol Schmidt (probably no relation to me). It is a Leisure Arts book. I am stitching these on 18 count Fiddler's Cloth. I happen to like Fiddler's Cloth. Instead of stitching the letters with plain color floss, I went with DMC Color Variations. I like the varigated look of the letter and I think it look really pretty. I will post a pic when I get the J done.
